Service Description

Working in community mental health centers for the past 9 years has allowed me to serve clients from adolescence to adulthood with a multitude of diagnoses. I've developed a passion for helping clients find natural ways to navigate mental health roadblocks by using their own thoughts, skills and natural supports. As a PLPC in the state of Missouri, I specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I also offer cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy to assist my clients in overcoming mental health challenges. I graduated in 2012 from Northcentral University with a Master of Arts in Health Psychology and then in 2020 with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling Serving clients aged 16 and over, I believe self-exploration and awareness are crucial in finding contentment. I strive to help clients build the confidence to navigate hurdles of self-doubt and fear that impede true happiness. Acknowledging the importance of our own thoughts and reactions is how we find fulfillment. I found my true passion in counseling expectant mothers and new parents while pregnant with my second child. Parenting one child with a second on the way provided a motivating revelation: No one truly prepares you for the rollercoaster of feelings involved in parenting. Pregnancy is too often a time of joy and excitement overshadowed by fear and anxiety. I strive to normalize these feelings and foster a mindset which allows for true enjoyment and acceptance of the spectrum of feelings and experiences involved in parenting.
